Meet Kosmosnautes #14: Alexis, Project Manager
Alexis is a Project Manager at Kosmos, responsible for the operational follow-up of Skolengo projects.
- Hi Alexis, what's your background?
I joined Kosmos in 2008 as a Consult and today I'm a Project Manager.
- What's your day-to-day life like as a project manager?
- Who are your contacts?
Firstly, there are the clients represented by the IT and education Services of Local authorities, be they Regions, Counties or Municipalities.
Then there are the Regional education authorities' IT Services and Digital Practices departments. Sometimes, we collaborate with other user profiles, such as School principals, inspectors and teachers for specific Pieces of work.
- What does it take to become a project manager?
In my opinion, the qualities of steering, organization and projection are the keystone of the job. Later, I will add more specific knowledge or areas of intervention: a thorough knowledge of the ecosystem of public education entities, and an in-depth understanding of IT projects, from initialization to deployment, including IT project management.
- What do you like about your job?
What I appreciate in my job is working in a noble field, that of education, associated with the digital challenges of today and tomorrow. And also, being in contact with demanding Users for whom our solutions are used on a daily basis and meet their business needs.
- What do you like about Kosmos?
What I like about Kosmos is working in an innovative sector in synergy with teams in an excellent working atmosphere. I also enjoy constantly renewing myself, questioning myself and our practices in response to constantly changing challenges. I enjoy being in contact with users on a daily basis, responding to their needs and contributing to the improvement of the public digital education service.
